  • What's Included
  • The GE 3-Way Dimmer Kit enables wireless control of on/off and dim functions of hard-wired incandescent lighting, and includes a primary and auxiliary switch for control of one light from two locations. The dimmer switches replace your current light switches, use your existing wiring, and provide Z-Wave wireless and manual control of overhead lighting. The primary dimmer switch includes an LED indicator light to easily locate the switch in a dark room.

The auxiliary switch is not Z-Wave enabled and does not directly control electrical loads. It must be used with a compatible Z-Wave enabled, 3-wire switch in three-way installations where a light is controlled from 2 locations such as the top and bottom of a staircase. This switch communicates with the Z-Wave enabled switch, providing manual On/Off/Dim control of the connected lighting (through the Z-Wave enabled switch) and synchronization of the lighting status (On/Off/Dim level) between the two switches.

Important Note:Not for use with fluorescent lights or motors.

Easy to install and use. Nice features.
Negative: When remote programming of dim level is used to change level of already "on" lights, a noticeable flicker occurs

They go in and off fine. When using the dimming feature the lights blink and flicker. It still works. Just a little annoying

These switches are NOT compatible with dimmable LEDs such as the CREE or EcoSmart 6 recessed can replacements. These switches cannot hold the voltage steady with the low current draw of LED lights and will cause the lights to flicker, even at 100% brightness. If you have 4 or more LEDs on a single circuit, they may be steady depending on brands.

GE/Jasco will not accept this as a faulty dimming mechanism and will not repair or replace the devices. With the new US energy laws restricting incandescent bulb usage, if you purchase these switches now for your home and replace your lights with LEDs or any low wattage device, you will need to purchase new dimming switches.

Investigate the higher cost Electronic Low Voltage ELV dimmers on the market if you are going green.

Works great. The blue led is a nice touch. You can disable this if you want. You need to be aware that the master needs a neutral line to work. This will require a little home wiring knowlege. It must need the power to transmit the Z-wave signal.

I really like the GE zwave lights. I've purchased a whole set of them for my basement development. Unfortunately, they do seem to have quality control issues. I've ordered around 15 sets of dimmers and 3-ways, and I've had 2 sets of the 3-ways arrive DOA. And I've had one regular dimmer also arrive DOA. The ones that work seem to still be working, but we'll see for how long!

They work "as advertised". It seems to be built kind of 'cheap' though; I hope it lasts.
