How did you discover Smarthome? | When I was building my house in 2000, I had a structured wiring system put into my home. In 2006, I received a cable DVR, and I wanted to distribute the content saved on the box throughout my home. I found everything I needed at Smarthome, from the low-pass filters to the splitters and combiners.
| Any interest in other aspects of home automation? | Actually, I've had a passing interest in home automation, especially in lighting control. I've done my fair share of research, and I plan on investing the sweepstake winnings on putting INSTEON in my home. | What products are you planning to start with in INSTEONizing your home? | | Any other home automation plans after the INSTEON project? | With a fairly good-sized home at about 3600 square feet, I look forward to expanding beyond the basic INSTEON setup. I'm also interested in hooking up a whole-home audio system. However, with young kids at home, any future project will move at a snail's pace. | |
