  • Control Your Lights from Anywhere

The Wemo Light Switch allows you to control your home lighting from the wall, your phone or by using your voice. This smart light switch connects to your existing home WiFi network to provide wireless control of your lights – with no subscription or hub required. From porch lights to ceiling fans to recessed lighting, Wemo Light Switch can control nearly anything that a traditional light switch can. Whether you’re unwinding on the couch, working at a coffee shop, or vacationing in the Caribbean, you’ll be able to remotely control your home lighting from anywhere.

Set Worry-free Schedules for Your Lights

Wemo Light Switch lets you easily set automatic schedules for any light. Using the free Wemo app, you can schedule your lights to turn off at sunrise, or synchronize your porch light with the sunset so you never come home to a dark house.

Protect Your Home with Randomized Lights

With the ability to randomize your lights, Wemo Light Switch protects your home better than a mechanical timer. When set to “Away Mode,” Light Switch will turn lights on and off randomly to make it appear like you’re home – even when you’re not.

    Works with Amazon Alexa

Wemo works seamlessly with Alexa to give you hands-free voice control over your lights. Enable the Wemo skill and pair Wemo Light Switch with Alexa to switch your lights on and off with just the power of your voice.

    Works with the Google Assistant

Wemo works with the Google Assistant, allowing you to control your lights using your Google Home devices, your Android or iPhone, or any other device with built-in Google Assistant support. You’ll enjoy seamless, intuitive voice control over any device that’s connected to Wemo Light Switch.

    Works with Apple Homekit

Wemo is compatible with Apple HomeKit. Simply connect Wemo Bridge (sold separately) to your router, add it to the Apple Home app, and control your Wemo enabled lights using the Apple Home app and Siri on an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or HomePod.

The Wemo line is awesome in that it doesn't require a hub. However, you have the list price of this listed as $63.49 which isn't true. It's $49.99. Therefore your big sale at $54 isn't a sale at all. Why haven't you corrected the price?

A Perfect Fix Review by Chuckster
    A Perfect Fix

The item arrived on-time and damage free. I love this product. My new home did not come with a light sensor on the seven front soffit lights. I accidentally left them on all-day a couple of times (Luckily the lights are high efficiency LED lamps). I have the experience to wire homes, but did not want to mess with running new wires through insulated walls in the middle of winter. So, with a little shopping around, I found this home-automation switch requiring no wiring changes. (OK, I am a retired engineer and like automation). This product was not expensive and it replaced the switch for my front lights and automatically turns lights on and off via my local time zone with daylight programming options. The program can be overridden with the toggle switch. The programming took all of 2-minutes to setup. I programmed the switch on my PC or Phone once and never had to worry about leaving my lights on. My wife thought it was a silly way to fix my situation and now loves it too!

WeMo Light Switch - A Safety Device Review by Brandy
WeMo Light Switch - A Safety Device

This is indispensable for my home. I don't get that much light at the top of my stairs from the bottom light fixture provided at the foot of the stairs. I have a light fixture up at the top but the switch for it is inside my apartment. Using the bottom light switch and that light fixture cast just ok light but is not safe enough on a dark carpet. Being able to manually turn on my personal hall light from my phone when I reach within my Wi-Fi or put it on the timer is brilliant. This WeMo I count as part of my safety coming and going from my home and eliminates the dark area at the top of my stairs.

Was easy to install and setup. I can easily check the status of the switch on their Android app. I also like the ability to set up rules custom programs for the switch.

    Review of 44509

Could not get it to work with my home network. Tried for hours. Even took to work and tried there with no luck. It was just totally inconsistent in its ability to connect to the network and be seen by my iphone (ios 7.2). And believe me, I installed and un-installed the app many times as well as resetting the device. Not sure if it's because both networks are pretty secure and this really needs a more 'open' network to operate properly. But to me, if a device that is connected to the internet (and open to unwanted intrusion) cannot work in a secure network, then it just invites problems that I am not willing to risk. I should add that I am an IT professional with over 30 yrs experience. Good luck to the novices out there.
