  • Velleman's MK103 Sound-to Light Unit is a color light show circuit that translates ambient sound into light. The unit's built-in microphone takes the sound from a stereo, radio, doorbell, or other sound source and translates it into light through the four high-intensity LED lights. The sensitivity of the recognized and translated sound can be adjusted using the potentiometer so the light is not activated by certain sound levels. This unit is useful for the hearing-impaired, or to indicate a telephone or doorbell ringing, or for just having fun.
