  • Make your home the envy of your neighborhood with the sophistication of the Insteon ToggleLinc Dimmer. In just minutes you can install a ToggleLinc Dimmer switch, link it to an Insteon controller and be remotely controlling your lights from anywhere.

    The Most Advanced Toggle Dimmer
You can also link your new ToggleLinc Dimmer to other Insteon-compatible switches or controllers to create a variety of light scenes with just the touch of a button. There is no need to rewire your home; just spend a few seconds setting up scenes for "Home," "Dinner" or "Night Time," and your ToggleLinc will automatically adjust the lights you selected to your pre-defined settings. With the ToggleLinc Dimmer's remote control ability, you can have the convenience of adding a bedside controller to turn off your lights after you get into bed. Never come home to a dark house again: Install a Insteon Hub to schedule your ToggleLinc dimmer or any Insteon-compatible device to turn on or off at any specific time or even at sunrise and sunset. The ToggleLinc dimmer can control up to a 600-watt load. Note: anytime Insteon ToggleLinc Dimmers are placed directly adjacent to one another, you must subtract 200 watts of capacity from each dimmer. If three dimmers are adjacent to one another, then 400 watts must be subtracted from the capacity of the center dimmer.

If you need a non-dimmable switch to control fluorescent lights, electronic ballasts, halogen lamps and low-voltage lighting transformers, use the Insteon ToggleLinc Relay (Non-Dimming).

Scene Lighting - Change the Lighting to Match Your Mood
Use this switch like any other dimmer to create the perfect on-level with one light, or save your settings to remember pre-determined lighting and fade rates. Push this toggle switch on once for a softly lit glow in the middle of the night or push it on twice for full lighting at dusk.

True Toggle Action with Beautiful, High Quality Construction
The Insteon ToggleLinc Dimmer offers the natural feel of high-end switches: flip up to turn lights on, flip down to turn lights off. You'll also love the crisp, tactile response with each flip, instead of the mushy feeling of other brands. The ToggleLinc is designed and manufactured to ISO9002 specifications and goes through over 10 quality control tests. You'll thank yourself for choosing this premium quality product.

    Easy To Install
The Insteon ToggleLinc Dimmer is so easy to install and set up and yet so affordable, you'll want to replace all of your switches with ToggleLinc Dimmers. Just remove the old switch, reattach the line, load, and ground wires with the addition of the neutral wire using the included wire nuts, and you're done.

    Brightness Levels
Adjust the brightness level of your light locally by pushing and holding the ToggleLinc Dimmer in the on position. Use the brightness levels to create just the right amount of lighting for your mood. From the toggle switch you can preset up to 32 brightness levels, or program in one-percent increments using software. The white status LED indicates the current status of the light being controlled. When the ToggleLinc Dimmer is turned off, the white LED illuminates to help with finding the switch in the dark.

    Adjustable Ramp Rate
You can adjust the speed at which the controlled light turns on or off, also known as the ramp rate. For example, you may want the light in the stairwell to turn on instantly so you can see where you're walking, or you may want the light in the master bathroom to ramp up in a soft, gentle fashion so you're not blinded in the middle of the night. The ramp rate is adjustable between 0.1 seconds and 9 seconds if programmed locally and can extend up to 8 minutes when using software.

    Create Multi-Way Circuits
Do you have two or three switches that you wish could all control the same light? The ToggleLinc Dimmer allows you to customize your lighting scenes without rewiring your home. These complicated lighting circuits are made simple using Insteon technology because you won't need to use traveler wires to create the electrical connections.

First replace all of the switches you want to include in the circuit with toggles. The primary dimmer must be connected to the standard wires: load, line, neutral, and ground. The secondary dimmers only need to be connected to line, neutral, and ground. Since no traveler wires are needed, it is easy to place a dimmer wherever you need it. Finally, cross-link all of the secondary dimmers to the primary dimmer for a flexible, fully functional multi-way circuit.

    Non-Volatile Memory
All Insteon ToggleLinc Dimmer settings are stored in non-volatile memory and are not lost during power failures. Additionally, in the event of a power loss, the ToggleLinc Dimmer will return to its last brightness level when power is restored.

    Need a Wall Plate?
Be sure to order a wall plate for each ToggleLinc dimmer.

Switched from X10 to Insteon and very happy so far. The scenes setup (while slow to load on the iPhone) do seem to be much more reliable than X10's. I have 40+ devices 3 of which I've now had to factory reset twice since they've been installed about two months ago. Not sure if it's power outages, line interference or the devices. Called Technical Support for guidance and was on hold for about 40 minutes then the call was disconnected.

Great idea, okay execution. The dimming function could use a lot of work. I find it easy to use my phone app.

No where in the item description does it suggest this product may not work if you need RF to communicate between devices. Also, why does SM not produce a toggle dimmer with dual band? The RF version only comes in decora, which does not match the other switches in my house.

I prefer the switchlinc more, but due to the place it was going to be installed, I had to go with the toggle. The toggle works fine, but it just feels like it's broken based on how it was designed.

Operation is intermittent. Will work OK for a while then can't access from ISY. 4th unit received as replacement. Currently OK. Suspect some other problem affecting operation, but unable to determine.

my first insteon product used to replace an X10 wall switch no longer available. Works fine and integrates well with my older extensive X10 system. Seems to be a definite way to go for upgrading for us do-it-yourselfers. Day to day use is easy.

Mine has failed after 5 years. First, the on side broke. So I took it apart and found that a circuit board had come lose there are microswitches on the board. I resecured the board and then only the on side worked and it wouldn't turn off. I tossed it in the trash.
