The Lutron Maestro Companion Switch is designed to compliment a Maestro switch or a 6A or 8A Maestro Wireless Multi-location Switch, sold separately. Up to nine Maestro Companion Switches can be linked to a Maestro or Maestro Wireless Multi-location Switch, allowing you to remotely control lighting or a fan from almost any room in your home. Maestro Companion Switches can not be used individually, as they do not control a load, and must be used along with a Maestro Wireless Multi-location Switch, typically in place of your 3-way and 4-way switches. Features a clean, flush, stylish appearance. Coordinate using Lutron Claro Wallplates, sold separately.

Rating I had installed a 3-way Lutron Occupancy Sensing Switch in my hallway and it worked very well but the other three regular light switches no longer worked properly. I called SmartHome and they said I needed three Lutron MA-AS Accessory Switches to restore normal functionality. I ordered the additional switches and they were at a discounted price $22.19 instead of the regular price of $35.50. Full marks for value for money. They arrived in a timely manner too. Full marks there.
However, as an infrequent DIY only electrician the switch installation instructions come over as contradictory. A qualified electrician may not see the issue but the instructions for installing "three (or more)" switches is very different from the instructions for installingPosted on 5/26/2013
