  • What's Included
  • Equipped with passive infrared (PIR) sensing technology, this versatile, top-quality wall switch automatically turns lights ON when a person enters a room and OFF when they leave. That saves energy, provides convenience and lowers electrical bills.

Install this switch in a bathroom, walk-in closet, garage and more. It provides a good 150 degree area of coverage, light sensor to tell wether it turns on or not, and a timer that turns the light OFF after a preset amount of time (15 sec. - 15 minutes). Also features a manual switch for overriding the sensor.

We also offer this switch in White.

For more coverage area or a 3-way capable version try the Leviton 3-Way Wall Mounted Occupancy Sensor.

Solid performer. Decent range on the sensor as well - maybe 6-8 feet.

I have had these in my basement for years and they work GREAT!!! When the kids 3 all under 6years old are playing they stay on and when they run up and forget to turn them off... they shut off automatically. No more worring about checking the basement lights. Excellent product. Now... if I could only get something like this for the bathroom sink... lol.

Side note - I had to turn the switch upside down to capture the kids movement due to their height. Still works great.

It says on the box that it works with fluorescent but it only works with the tube type with external starter/ballast. If you want a motion sensor wall switch that works with CFL, it looks like the only one that exists is the OSSMT-MDW, but it's over $80 because it includes ultrasonic sensors cool but I don't need it. What is it with motion sensors? Is it really that much more expensive to use a 4-wire setup with a relay so you don't have to constantly run low-level current through the lights? Nobody makes one! Also, FYI, the single-pole motion sensors will even burn up dimmable CFLs because electronic ballasts don't like the really low-level current lower than the lowest typical dim level.

It wasn't clear to me that this is a 3-way switch from the description. It also requires that the neutral is present in the electrical box, a potential consideration when retrofitting to switches with only a hot and simple switched leg.

We added this to a dark bathroom and it functions great. Two small quirks: Our 3 yr old son is too short to activate it (and it was originally intended for him.) And, if you sit on the pot too long, it shuts off...but a quick wave of your arm and the light comes back on. We are happy with it overall. It works as it''s supposed to and was easy to install. Ours is connected to a compact fluorescent bulb and we''ve had no problems.

Installation wasn't too difficult, although the instructions weren't too clear. They referred to a red wire, a black wire and a green wire; but there were 2 black wires and a green wire -- no red wire.

Anyway, I got it working but it only worked for 2 weeks. It stopped working suddenly and only worked as a manual on-off switch. The sensor (automatic) part no longer functioned. I removed it and threw it in the garbage, where it clearly belonged.

    Summary: Piece of Junk!
