    Plug-in Control

Even if every room in your home is lit with recessed lights, chandeliers and wall sconces, chances are, you still have a table lamp or two. Insteon Plug-in Modules let you add remote control of all of these "less sophisticated" plug-in apparati.

    Remote Control

    Remote Control

While our plug-in modules do feature embedded on and off buttons, you don't really want to reach behind the couch to turn on a lamp. Thanks to Insteon, you can control your connected lamps and appliances from any wall switch, keypad, sensor - or even your smartphone when used with the Insteon Hub.

    Sensor Control

    Sensor Control

You might not have thought about it, but a good deal of your plug-in appliances become quite handy when automated. Automatically control table lamps with a Motion Sensor. Use Open/Close Sensors to automatically turn on & off lamps when a door is opened & closed.

    On/Off or Dimming Feature

    On/Off or Dimming

No matter what you want to control, there is an Insteon Plug-in Module for your needs. Dimming, On/Off and Outdoor On/Off modules are available to control everything from lava lamps in your parlor to holiday decorations in freezing rain.

    Plug-in inline Control

    Plug-in In-Line Control

Setup of your Insteon Plug-in device couldn't be easier. All you have to do is connect your lamp's power cord to the outlet on the bottom of the Insteon module and then connect the Insteon module to a regular unswitched power outlet.

    Buttons When You Need

    Buttons When You Need Them

If you need to turn your connected device on or off when your remote controls aren't handy, you can just tap the up or down arrows on the side. Chances are, you'll find your Insteon Wall Switch or Smartphone a better remote control, though.

    Load Sense

    Load Sense

With LoadSense technology, your Dimmer Module can detect when you turn on a connected lamp or appliance and automatically turn on other Insteon devices throughout your home; your table lamp just became an Insteon switch.

    Bring Your Own Plug-In Lamp

Home control doesn't need to conflict with your décor; sophisticated or contemporary, elegant or wacky, Insteon Plug-In modules let you bring any plug-in lamp to the home automation party. It doesn't matter if you want to use Grandma's generations-old Tiffany lamp or a brand new, mass-produced objet d'art, if it has a power cord, Insteon Plug-in modules give you the power of remote control.

    Custom On-Level

Not every room needs to be bright all the time. With Dimmer Module, a customizable On-Level lets you pick how bright your lamp is when you turn it on. Set the brightness to be anywhere from 1- to 100%.

    Programmable Ramp Rate

The days of being startled by instantaneous bright light are gone. Ramp Rates with Dimmer Module let you specify how quickly or slowly a lamp turns on. Slowly brighten from off to on over the course of 0.1 seconds to 8 minutes.

    Complete Scene Support

Control multiple lights or appliances from a single button with Scenes. With Dimmer Module, scenes let you gracefully fade lights in and out, combining the benefits of both preset On-Levels and Ramp Rates.

    Smartphone Remote Control

Add the Insteon Hub to the mix and you can control your Plug-in devices from your smartphone or tablet. And then some.

    Remote Control - Blue

    Remote Control

Whatever you have connected to your Plug-in module, control it from your smartphone with the Insteon Hub. Home or away, it doesn't matter when your smartphone is always at your side.

Next time the in-laws visit, wow them with your automation skills by creating scenes for dining, entertaining - even a special "midnight snack" button that illuminates just the lights they will need to find the kitchen after dark.

One-up the Jones this year when you put out your holiday decorations. With Insteon, all of your outdoor lights will turn on at sunset in perfect unison - that means you can look professional while still going overboard.

You can always configure On-Level and Ramp Rate using the set button on your device, but it's so much better when you add a smartphone to help manage all of the hidden features your devices include.

Remote control from another Insteon device.

Let convenience be your mantra and use the power of Insteon to automate home. Whether it's as simple as using a Wireless Switch to turn on your space heater or as elaborate as sensor-triggered automatic activation, Insteon is your tool.

Works excellent but the housing is cheap plastic and cracks

I have several of these plug in modules , and the houses the device is cheap.
2 out of 3 cracked , wnd I have to put a tape around the module to keep it from falling apart.

    Ok Review by James

These modules are pretty well made. I’ve had many of them for 5 years or so and never had one die. But with all the smart home choices out there now, they seem over priced. I only get new ones when they are on sale. And I think I would have bailed on the whole Insteon thing if it weren’t for Universal Device’s ISY. I tried a number of Insteon hubs and had nothing but trouble. But all the modules/switches are very good.

no good for me Review by hhh222
    no good for me

This newer model will not pair with the older original 2440 remote which is all I am willing to use at this time for a controller. The mini remotes are way too mini and do not have near the flexibility as the 2440. I am also not willing to use my phone to control lighting. I believe there are a lot of people who would appreciate an updated 2440. Hopefully our current dimmers will last several more years

Broken after two months Review by An ominously
    Broken after two months

I purchased a starter kit from ebay seller midwest closeout, and really had a great time for first two months. However one of the dimmer stopped working and was told by insteon support that ebay purchase is not covered.

    Very disappointed.

    The fundamentals Review by James
    The fundamentals

Every HA project needs a handful of these for your various plugin lamps. I'm switching from Z-Wave so that nearly everything can be controlled by Keypadlincs (sans computer) for our next homeowners. Pleasantly surprised with these - slightly more affordable than the units they replace and about the same size as the latest generation z-wave plugin modules (and quite a bit smaller and better looking than the old gen ones).
Only point of improvement I can see at this time would be a swivel plug to fit more outlet configurations.

    Excellent product! Review by John
    Excellent product!

I bought two of these with the hub. I was so impressed I bought another set for my mother's apartment! She isn't that tech savvy, so I will set it up for her. Once I set it up (probably it will take less than 10 minutes after the box is open), I'll have her controlling the lights on her smart phone.

So glad I discovered SmartHome and Insteon.

Where is the X10? Review by Elmo
    Where is the X10?

I like insteon and liked the fact that I could use my X10 controllers to turn lights on and off. The latest versions seem to have that nice feature missing. My hope of upgrading to Insteon over time has just taken a U-turn.

Smarthome response: When Insteon products were launched years ago, the intention to include X10 support was to help make it easier for those with older X10 systems to transition to Insteon. Now 11 years later X-10 support is being phased out across the Insteon line. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    Very Reliable Review by Jason
    Very Reliable

If you have been an X-10 user for years like I am you will appreciate the amazing speed of response and the ultra-reliable nature of the Lamplinc. I have converted almost every room's table lamps over to these modules. The ability to have these respond to scenes has been great. The only downside is that even when these are putting into load sensing mode they don't work quite as seamlessly as the old X-10 modules at turning the load on via the lamps built in switch, but it's other enhancements far outweigh this.

    they work Review by fatty
    they work

got the 4 pack before Christmas. Christmas trees, mantle light window candle came on with a gentle ramp up and went off with a sweet ramp down at the prescribed time. what could be better. I love wasting money on useless gadgets. My back loves not crawling around trying to turn things off and on. My wallet loves my wife not having lights on when we aren't home.

    Get some!!!!!!
