    Siri® Control

    Build Scenes

Quickly and easily create scenes that let you control multiple devices simultaneously. Customize advanced features like On Level, too.

    Automate with Schedules

Configure a single device to turn on and off at a specific time or create customized groups of devices that turn on and off at various times throughout the day.

The New Insteon+ App for HomeKit

We wanted to add some fun to the daily chore of managing your home's lights and devices; so why not make Insteon+ more fun to use than your light switches? With brand new controls and a greatly simplified user interface, Insteon+ sets the new standard for home control apps.

    Add

It doesn't matter if your home is a single bedroom apartment or a multi-winged compound, Insteon+ makes adding devices, rooms, zones and more simple and straightforward.

    Insteon or HomeKit?

With Insteon+, you can choose the best automation device for the task; add and control Insteon and HomeKit devices side-by-side. You can even mix and match Insteon and HomeKit devices in scenes and schedules.

    Rooms and Zones

Keep track of devices in your home by building out rooms and then quickly switch between them with just a swipe. For really efficient control of large areas of your home, group rooms into zones like downstairs or outside.

    Multiple Houses?

For the lucky few with multiple houses or the caring child helping improve the lives of your aging parents, add as many homes as you'd like and move in and out of them with ease.

    Control

With Insteon+, you can control a wide range of devices including lights, appliances, door locks, garage doors and more. And because Insteon+ uses HomeKit technology, any HomeKit-enabled device will be right at home.

    Dimmable Lights

Quickly brighten and dim your lights with a custom, ergonomic slide or increment and decrement with convenient buttons.

    Multi-Colored Lights*

With an homage to a classic wheel-themed-game-show, add some color to your life with our multi-colored light control.

*HomeKit-enabled color changing lights not yet available but Insteon+ will be ready when they are.

    On/Off Lights and Appliances

Even the basics like On/Off devices get a new control with discrete on and off buttons.

    Ceiling Fans

Control both the speed of your ceiling fan and the brightness of it's lamp. And if you have a lampless fan, we're smart enough to only show you fan speed.

    Garage Doors*

Monitor and control your garage door and, if supported by your garage door controller, even be alerted to unexpected obstacles in it's path.

*HomeKit-enabled garage door controllers are not yet available but Insteon+ will be ready when they are.

    Door Locks*

Ensure you don't accidentally unlock your front door with a familiar slide to unlock gesture.

*HomeKit-enabled door locks not yet available but Insteon+ will be ready when they are.

    Enjoy

With Insteon+, we've included features that make your daily home control tasks effortless; everything from guest users to voice control of devices and scenes with Siri.

    Your Wish is Her Command

Talk to your home and let your home talk back with Siri control of devices and scenes. Like an episode of the Waltons, you can finally say, "goodnight" to your house and have it react in kind.

    Dashboard

Your home is always at your fingertips with Dashboard; see at-a-glance which lights you've left on or if the doors are secure. Add in your favorite devices and scenes and you might never need to leave.

    Be Your Guest

If your friends and family have an iPhone or iPod touch, they're just an Apple ID away from guest access to your home. Guests can control devices and scenes but can't make changes to your meticulously crafted home configuration.

    Compatability

If you're just getting started, there's a wide array of Insteon devices that work with the new HomeKit-enabled Insteon Hub. And if your home is full of Insteon already, there's no need to replace all of your existing Insteon devices.

Bad wrap - actually a good product Review by Matt
Bad wrap - actually a good product

I have had this hub and one Fanlinc controller now for 2 months and it works flawlessly. I was scared to buy because of all the bad reviews. This is actually a very stable and solid product. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the process to link devices to the hub is VERY poor and complex and the Insteon app (which the instruction manual leans on) is a high-school project at best.
The hardware itself is fantastic and that's all that matters to me. I need hardware that works and does not fail. Is it cumbersome to initially link? Yes. But once you get it done, it's pretty great.

Hub is hard to sync, but is let down by defective outlets Review by Bovlb
Hub is hard to sync, but is let down by defective outlets
    Rating

This HomeKit-compatible hub is expensive, but I bought it because there is a shortage of HomeKit-compatible outlets, and I thought that going with Insteon would broaden my options. It turns out that only one of the two outlets can be controlled remotely, and the other can only be controlled by pressing the button on the outlet. At first I thought I must be doing something wrong, but Insteon confirmed that this is intended behaviour.

Also, I expected to be able to add devices by typing in their ID numbers, but instead I have to press a tiny button on the hub and then run across the house to press a button on the device (and do the same in reverse if I want two-way control). While I appreciate the extra exercise, none of this screams "quality product" to me, so I am returning all of the Insteon products I have purchased as defective.

Good Product Shame on Insteon Review by rweigum
    Good Product Shame on Insteon
    Rating

I have had the product for several months now and I absolutely love it. The only issue is Insteon itself. If you use only HomeKit as advised in several articles it works GREAT. I had previously owned the regular hub. It was slow to respond to commands, constantly looses configuration and not compatible with HomeKit. The Pro Hub is instantly responsive and has not lost configs. The Insteon software is the killer of an otherwise GREAT product that works this Siri. Its like Insteon is trying to kill HomeKit in favor of Alexa. I called tech and they wanted to sign some song and dance about Apples fault for wanting to have a secure product and it was to restricting for Insteon programers. Hey get over it and learn to code! I have several products from many companies that work GREAT with HomeKit like Schlage locks, GE lights and may others. They don't cry they just make good secure products. If you want me and the rest of the Insteon fans to continue to buy Insteon change NOW. Otherwise I will migrate to other HomeKit comparable products.

Doesn't work, don't buy it. Review by Tony N

This product doe t work. The app crashes on iOS and Insteon can't reset the accuont. The device wakes on the network, grabs and it address and starts chattering. However, it will not appear as a HomeKit bridge on iOS. I tried two units, waiting on my refund for both.

Worst of all, Insteon Support, MS Support and Smarthome NEVER retourned a phone call (they promised a callback at least three times). I reached out no social media and received NOTHING.

This product does not work. It doesn't work on an iPad or iPhone runnnig iOS 10. I would bet that it will be less than useless on iOS 11.

Don't buy this. Smarthome and Insteon told me that "some customers were having this problem" but slope got it to work when they replaced the unit. They know nothing.

Try with the IOS Home App Review by Steve
Try with the IOS Home App

I have had the Insteon Hub for HomeKit for what seems like a very long time, now. It was called the Hub Pro when I bought it, and its compatibility with various Apple devices pushed me in that direction vs. the less expensive Insteon Hub. As many reviews have pointed out, it is less than a fully implemented product in many ways. On the other hand when you can use Siri on your watch or iPhone, it is magic, and that works much if not most of the time. It is a good way to impress dinner guests!

Much of the understandable frustration with the Hub for HomeKit relates to the very buggy Insteon+ app. During a recent call to Insteon tech support, who in general are great and try hard to support a buggy product, one chap suggested abandoning the Insteon+ app and using the standard IOS Home app instead. I tried it and haven’t gone back. It is much easier to set up rooms, favorite scenes, etc. and integrates with the Home app on the Apple Watch and the iPhone Control Center (the thing you get when you swipe up from the bottom). Still a bit of a pain adding new devices, and it does not directly support wireless controllers like the 4-scene Mini remote, but that can be programmed manually if needed.

Even with the IOS Home app, the Hub for HomeKit is still not perfect, but I am a lot more comfortable now that I can now show my wife how to control the lights in the house from her phone and watch and not regret it.

Great Potential lost by a non-responsive, careless company Review by James

I've had this hub since Sept 2016. I had high hopes. With all of the HomeKit products on the market, Instead has a lot of potential with its communication protocols and variety of products. After all of this time, they haven't increased the number of supported devices for the Hub Pro. Also, there are TONS of bugs and no software updates, even after several emails and support request. Often, support doesn't even respond to my emails. Find a more reliable product. DO NOT buy Insteon. It regularly gets state wrong, reporting devices are on when they are actually off. (Which makes remote control completely useless) Also, I turn devices on and they often default to 0%. Why would I turn a light on and choose 0% brightness??

Awesome homekit hub! Review by SB

I have used, recommended and installed a few of these and they are all operating great. I'm disabled and rely on voice commands for automation. This works great so far and the home kit will work even if the internet is out as long as my router is still powered on. I have used it with lamp modules, fanlinc, wall dimmers, wall on/off, thermostat, and plug in modules. Besides the occasional Siri misunderstanding, it has not failed once in almost 2 years. The setup could be streamlined but i think that it has to do with Insteon being an early home kit platform.

Product installed with paddle dimmers, in-line dimmers and outlets. Works perfect for the use intended in the two rooms I most needed the system due to how the house was originally wired. I'll likely hold off wiring other rooms for purpose of whole house automation until I understand the products' life cycle, given all of the reviews I've read.

I found the documentation is not always the best or consistent between the various products but was able to figure it out. In general pleased with the products. Please stay tuned, I will follow up with periodic review(s). P

Older Home, Works Great Review by Randy
    Older Home, Works Great

I had no other option but to go with Insteon. I have an older home thus in my wiring, I do not have a "common" wire. I looked at the reviews and very sceptical of this purchase and thought I would give it a shot. I am glad I did. Insteon seams to be the only company that supports 2-wire installation with wall mount dimmer rocker switch. Since buying this hub I have replace every switch with the Insteon 2-wire dimmers but not without a few problems.

The instructions for pairing is a little wack. In order to pair I have to push the switch till it flashes green. Then go to the hub and do the same. They both beep but fail to sync. Then I have to hold the sync button on the hub till it turns green. Of course I have to go back to the switch, hold it till it turns green and beeps. Not a real big deal, it's just I have to do this 2 or more times to get it to sync.

I was also a little put off by the manuel does not include that it will work with led lights. I took a gamble and bought led dimmable lights and they work great!

I did try the wall plugins but they failed to sync so I had to return them.

Overall I am thrilled with my purchase. If Insteon comes out with more connective devices that will sync with the HomeKit hub, I will definitely purchase as needed.

    Updated review;
I replaced all my light switches with Insteon 2-Wire dimmers. I bought the Insteon Homekit hub everything worked fine for awhile. Recently, (last couple months) I get a “no response” in HomeKit. I have contacted Insteon support and they have no clue for a fix. So now I am having to just use manual operation of all my dimmers. Very expensive dimmer switches and will not work over Wi-Fi.

Insteon seems to have abandoned this hub pro as there are issues since IOS 10 Home app came out in 2016. "no response" issues with the home app and insteon+ app for IOS has issues. Still as of April 2017 not a peep from Insteon on getting this fixed to be usable with IOS 10 and HomeKit Home App. I have a huge investment in 25+ wall switches and dimmers that don't work properly and have already replace my plug in switches with home kit designed plugs that work as intended.
