Save on utility bills all year long. Most homeowners have at least one room that is too hot in the summer and/or too cold in the winter. This usually because of poor airflow caused by long duct runs or runs with multiple bends. Ideal in retrofit applications, the In-Line Duct Fan boosts airflow to problem areas.
Easy Retrofit Installation
To install, cut out the required opening using the included template and insert the In-Line Duct Fan, securing it to the existing duct with the included spring. Wire it to your furnace blower or wall switch. This In-Line Duct Fan uses high-performance balanced polycarbonate fan blades, and the fan comes with approximately 6-inch wire leads.
Manual or Thermostat Control
The In-Line Duct Fan can be wired directly to a wall switch for manual control or to an HVAC system. To turn on the duct fan automatically only when there is airflow, just add the DuctStat Duct Fan Thermostat (sold separately). You can even add an In-LineLinc Relay, which wires in discreetly to allow the In-Line Duct Fan to be controlled remotely from any INSTEON-enabled controller.

Rating Easy to install but it doesn't do a very good job of moving cold air. A big disappointment for the money.

Rating Flawless. On circuit with another booster fan, controlled variably, to increase HVAC output in room with lots of electonic equipment, (theater). Very quiet, (for now). You may notice that the motor assembly can be adjusted to another set of mounting holes in the attachment bracket. You have to drill out the rivets and find some screws or re-rivet, but there is some adjustability.
