Item met and or exceeded all expectations. Replaced like. item that failed after 31 years due to power surge during ice storm. Is very reliable and easy fix for controlling lights from two locations without additional wiring.

Works very well. I've used before similar Leviton switch which has nicer design of remote part than Heath/Zenith but it was not working very well. The placement of an antenna in Heath/Zenith is a much better solution. My Leviton switches were failing one by one after few months of use. It remains to be seen what will happen with Heath/Zenith. So far I am very pleased with the purchase.

This my second one. I was so please with the first one that I bought a second. But both switches have the same frequency. If I turn off one light, the other one turns on. Can't find a way to separate the two. If you only want to control one light it is good. Just don't but more than one.

I have ordered and installed this device twice. It works exactly how I would want. It is easy to install. The first one I have had installed now for 4 years without any issues. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the wireless box is a bit large (depth) and looks a bit obtrusive on the wall. I wish there was a thinner option or one that allowed for in-wall / countersunk installation.

As far as the operation of the switches, I'd give 5 stars. I only give 4 though, because there's no ordering option for which channel to receive. If you order more than one, and you can't specify the channel, more than likely you'll get the same channel. Then you can't use them within range of each other because the wireless switch will operate all of the wired switches in range.

In reading the Heath Zenith manual, these only come in 2 channels, D & E. But it seems there are not many channel D units out there. Even at Home Depot, they can't guarantee they'll ship you the specific channel you need (I had the store clerk call their warehouse directly).

I already had a channel E unit and I need the channel D unit. When I received it, it was channel E. I talked with SmartHome to see if I returned it, could ship the channel D unit I needed. They couldn't guarantee it. So I cut the package open to see if I could switch the channels internally. Surely, Heath Zenith doesn't manufacture completely different units--there must be an internal switch. Nope. They make completely different units.

I've contacted them through their web site, on where I can purchase the channel D unit, but it's been a week I've had no response.

No other web sites that sell these units, offer an ordering option to pick channel D or E. SmartHome could distinguish themselves by providing that option, but I doubt anyone who can fix it will read this review.

First product received proved to be defective in about 6 hours. It started turning itself on and off at random. Replacement product has been working fine now for several days. Installation was a breeze even if I did have to do it twice.

why would anyone run wires and tear holes in walls. For less then the wire would cost I could buy this and install in minutes. Works great, will buy more, recommend it all the time.

    Couple things:
First, Do not use this with CFL bulbs! It will buzz non-stop, and the lights sometimes don't turn all the way off.
Second, do not buy more than two! There are only 2 available channels, with no obvious way to switch them. I was not told this, and bought 3. So my light in my bedroom will occasionally turn on the kitchen too. Super annoying.
Third, you'll need to buy a bigger gangbox, as this is too big to fit in most standard ones.
Other than that, range is good.

I purchased two of these units and they worked just like they described. I installed one switch upstairs so I didn't have to go down stairs to turn on my outdoor fountain Yard light.
The other unit I added near one of two entry doors of my large garage so I could turn on/off the lights from either door.

Installed it 2 months ago and it works great. This model has a switch like a regular electric switch so our guests think it is the real thing. Also, very easy to install.
