Rating Delivered as advertised, works as advertised. This is part of a more complex remote control system and installation depends on knowledge of how that system works. Lost "one star" because Global Cache has switched to new type of infrared emitter, and it is inferior to the original.

Rating I bought an IP2IR device to use for a temporary home theater setup that is in the process of being replaced by a total home Crestron system. We needed something in the meantime and have an older receiver that is not internet ready all the devices connected to it are... DTV, DUNE, Blu Ray player. It took a total of 10 minutes to set it up and get it functioning using the tools on the website. What was not clear when I bought the device is if the IRLEARNER device was needed or if it was build it... no real dirction there so I bought the IR-Learner. After getting the IR strings from the remote using the learner, it was easy to test it with the ITEST program... which worked flawlessly.
As others have pointed out... if your not a code savvy person, this device is probably not for you. But if you can put together a web page or some VB code... you will have fun with this device.Posted on 1/21/2014

Rating This wired version of the iTach works great and can be used for so many different applications. Who would have thought that a simple little device like this would open up a world of home and business automation possibilities? Great product. Never had a problem with them. The wifi version is great too but is a little trickier to set up.

Rating this is an excellent device I am using with roomie remote for my iPad. I am using it with my Samsung tv and comcast cable set top box. I can now turn the tv on and off as well as the STB. Roomie found the IP2IR ip address and did most of the work in setting it up.
