The GE Advanced Remote turns on/off and adjusts the brightness level of Z-Wave enabled lights, as well as operates the on/off functions of Z-Wave enabled small appliances. Users create and manage custom lighting schemes by controlling up to 18 individual lights, 18 groups, and 18 scenes. The LCD menu screen allows for quick navigation of remote features and easy-to-read command feedback, while the timer function allows for up to nine timed events to be automatically activated in the home. The remote also works with Z-Wave enabled thermostats.

Rating I have six of these devices. They are very awkward to program. However they work very well with my Home Seer system. There is another model that does not have a digital display that cost less.
I managed to find these some time ago for around $30 each. The price listed here is a bit too much for me. I understand those that are frustrated with this product but it does do a great job after you get over the difficult programming. Besides supporting each individual on off switches you can also program multiple groups. This is handy to turn on all outside lights all inside lights or some other subset.Posted on 7/26/2014

Rating Ditto on the cryptic and confusing instructions.
Still, this is a useful device to setup up a small GE lighting system, and its low priced. We have used it over the last two years in a church to control 6 light nodes during service and its been reliable.
I would not want to tackle a large setup with it.Posted on 11/2/2013

Rating Cryptic instructions. Complicated and time consuming setup. This is an awful, ugly, clumsy remote that, once programmed, no one except the person who programmed it will be able to decipher.

Rating The literature on this is misleading. This controller will only control individual lights if it is the Primary controller; if you try to use it with your home security system as the primary it will only turn "all light on" or "lights off". Do not wast your money on this unit.
