Then you are perfect for Smarthome (a SmartLabs company).We need an aggressive, never take no for an answer person who will bring on-board the best products at the best prices to sell thru and our b2b channels. This person will directly be responsible for bringing in all new products related to the following categories: Security, Surveillance, Access Control and Thermostats & HVAC Control. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • New Product & Vendor On-Boarding - You will be responsible for finding & bringing the latest new products at the right prices. The current categories you would be responsible for are: Security; Doorlocks & Access Control; Thermostats & HVAC. Experience or expertise in these type of products would be helpful.
  • Build Vendor Relationships- meeting and communicating with vendors on a regular basis is essential to building a strong relationship. You are responsible for maintaining an open channel of communication with vendors who can be the lifeblood of new products and an invaluable resource.
  • Inventory Management - always keeping products in stock to meet demand, never having too much stock, forecasting. Inventory turns are critical to the overall health of the company. Ensuring competitive pricing is a must.
  • Marketing: Catalog/Web/Email/Promos: You will be responsible for writing your new product webpages & catalog pages and ensuring that all important content is included (correct photography; illustrations;spec charts and more). You will also be responsible for improving your existing product pages.
  • Deals & Co-op - asking/requesting/demanding exclusives, deals, promotions, freebies, co-op money and more from the vendors - to help them promote their products more & sell more.
  • Training - ensure that the right resources are available to train our sales and tech support staff. We need their help to grow their sales. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of marketing & product buying experience. You must be highly organized and be able to multi-task. You must have superior communication, interpersonal, presentation, and project management skills. A strong work ethic and a high level of analytical skill is also a plus. Benefits:
