Assistant to the CEO


Assistant to the CEOSMARTHOME is the world's leader in home automation and approaching our 15th birthday. Through our three divisions we retail over 7,000 products (, manufacture a wide range of remote control lighting products, and develop cutting edge technologies like INSTEON ( Uses for our products include remote control lighting, whole-house automation, security and surveillance, home entertainment, and pet care. We are seeking a full-time Personal / Executive Assistant to provide support of our CEO. This position will support the CEO through management of the calendar, correspondence, organization, and maintenance of both personal and business related items. To be successful you must be hands-on, be a hard worker, and possess a can-do attitude. Support for the President and other executives will also be a responsibility as time permits.Responsibilities:
  • Plan and schedule meetings; maintain calendar for the CEO & President
  • Facilitate quarterly Board of Directors and annual shareholders meetings
  • Answer Executive telephone line and screen calls for the CEO and President
  • Retrieve voice mail for CEO and set up conference calls as needed
  • Distribute incoming mail and open, sort and route CEO's mail & faxes
  • Coordinate travel plans including hotel and car service setup
  • Order and distribute supplies
  • Arrange for lunches/refreshments for various meetings (Board of Directors, Dealer Trainings, Special Events, Etc.)
  • Run miscellaneous errands
  • Make sure facility is presentable (lobby is stocked w/catalogs, welcome sign is appropriate, conference rooms are well maintained)
  • Provide back up support to other Executives
  • Keep all refrigerators stocked w/soda Personal Duties:Provide continual support for CEO's personal residence & second home (liaison for maintenance workers, etc.). Be responsible for personal errands for CEO. Plan trips at CEO's request. Provide overall support towards the CEO's personal matters. Candidate should have exceptional communication, software and administrative skills, including excellent judgment, and seasoned ability to prioritize work, The ideal candidate must possess exceptional organizational, communication and administrative skills and be confident in their ability to work well with all levels of management and subordinates. You must be able to work unsupervised, multi-task and follow-up thoroughly on tasks. We are looking for a person who possesses a professional demeanor and is confident in their ability to provide excellent judgment in all matters.
