  • The DynaQuip Controls WCKBLF 3/4 WaterCop Starter Kit for 3/4" Pipes is a self contained, wireless leak detection and automatic water shut-off system for your home. The system or "team" consists of two key parts, the WaterCop and the sensors. Simply put, the WaterCop is an automatic electric valve for your water supply line. WaterCop should be installed on your main water line immediately after the existing manual shut-off valve or immediately prior to where the plumbing main begins to branch to "water appliances". WaterCop is not designed to replace your current water shut-off valve. The sensors are battery operated water sensor probes with wireless transmitters. Sensors constantly monitor the floor or the area behind or under specific leak prone areas of your home.

    How does it work?
Well it's simple really! Your trusty friend WaterCop and his faithful partners the sensors work together to protect your home from water damage that can be caused by leaks in your plumbing system. When installed properly and regularly maintained, it will work behind the scenes to monitor your home for water leakage at specific and predetermined locations. When any strategically placed sensor detects moisture where it is not supposed to be, it will immediately send a wireless signal to the WaterCop control unit telling WaterCop to turn off the household water supply.

    Where do I place sensors?
Through research conducted by and through major insurance companies and repair contractors DynaQuip Controls, manufacturer of the WaterCop, has developed a brief list of areas in your home that have been determined to be the most likely sources of plumbing related water damage. This includes:
    • Washing Machines
    • Water Heaters
    • Dishwashers
    • Toilets
    • Kitchen and Bathroom Sinks
    • Automatic Humidifiers
    • Ice Makers and Refrigerators
    • Pipes to Outdoor Spigots
