  • What's Included
  • The DuctStat automatically turns an attached In-Line Duct Fan (sold separately) on when the flow of heated air is sensed (in heat mode) or the flow of cold air is sensed (in cool mode). The device automatically turns the duct booster off when the flow of air stops. Installing on the outside of the duct downstream of the duct booster, the DuctStat must be manually switched between heat/cool modes in the winter and in the summer.

Works great as a device inside my video component cabinet to exhaust the heat with a simple fan on the top. The fan has a plug with no on/off switch so the Thermostat device does that for me.

Seems to work fine for cooling; needed a bit of tweaking once it was installed but now it comes on and off with the air conditioner.

I haven't used the product yet because I have other options to look into. The product is exactly what I wanted.

Im on my third one. After a few months the thermostat fails and the unit runs continuously even when the furnace is off.
Has there been a chronic problem with this unit, the price drop indicates to me maybe it is a clearance item now.

Doesn't have a finer temp adjustment. I'm using it in an AV cabinet and it either kicks on at 75 or 83.

I have purchased two of these. The first one arrived defective. It ran all the time and could not be adjusted to shut off. The replacement came and after installation I discovered it could be adjusted to a proper on/off cycle. But talk about sensitive! Increments of the adjustment had to be accomplished in 64 ths of an inch or less. It took a lot of extremely patient tweaking to get it to work correctly but eventually it did. It worked only one winter though. I plugged it in to start for this years winter season and it cannot be adjusted to automatically cycle. It will only run in the continual On cycle. Their quality certainly is lacking.
