Have you ever seen a video image when there is too much light in one area? Imagine a car at night with its headlights shining right at you. While you can clearly see very bright glares from the headlights, you usually can't see any detail of the car itself. This camera's Eclipse function makes the headlights into dark circles, and allows very clear details of the rest of the picture to be seen. Extra Wide Dynamic Range (XWDR) provides balanced pictures when the subject is backlit. Its 3DNR function balances the light and dark areas of the picture to render more detail than possible with normal cameras. There's an IR Cut filter which is automatically removed at night to allow more light to enter the lens when it's dark. The vari-focal lens allows you to focus on exactly the areas of the scene you need. The included XNET software can activate an event trigger upon detecting motion. Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) to simplify camera installation. There are audio input jacks and output for two-way voice communication if desired. Use the alarm input to activate the server and camera, or use the alarm output to trigger an external alarm device upon detecting motion.
This camera is electronically the same as the 1/3" 580TVL PoE IP Vandal Dome Camera except this one has a normal dome.

XNET Software
XNET is an internet based security and surveillance system that is compatible with various network conditions through easy installation and user interface as well as multi-functional compression codecs, such as MJPEG, MPEG-4, and H.264. XNET provides stable real-time surveillance by real time video/ audio at D1 level, local storage for any network problems, and hybrid IP technology that can be used with existing analog CCTV devices.
Features:
- Advanced compression technology: H.264, MJPEG, MPEG4, ADPC/G726
- Progressive scan gives clear images without ghosting
- Hybrid IP technology allows CCTV analog output
- Multi-codec streaming allows live video simultaneously using H.264, MJPEG, and MPEG4
- Two-way voice communication using a client PC and XNET
- Smart Event records video before and after an alarm event
- Install / Operation Wizard makes installation easy and offers users an easy interface
- Three motion detection areas
- Motion Detection Events sends video & audio to an FTP site or email upon an alarm trigger or detecting motion
- Supports various resolutions: NTSC 704x480, 352x240 PAL: 704x576, 352x288
- RS-485 interface for remote pan/tilt control
- Remote software upgrade via your network
- Advanced compression technology: H.264, MJPEG, MPEG4, ADPC/G726
