  • The ClearWave® by Field Controls is a revolutionary product that conditions hard water without the expense and hassle of salt, chemicals, or traditional hard water systems. The ClearWave attacks hard water particles with electro-magnetic waves to treat the entire water system in your home and helps to prevent and reduce hard water problems.

Calcium and magnesium particles tend to stick to each other and any surface they touch forming layers of hard scale. This scale buildup damages water heater elements and restricts water flow. The ClearWave neutralizes these particles. Once treated by the ClearWave Water Conditioner, calcium and magnesium particles remain in suspension, flowing freely through the system and down the drain.

The ClearWave not only prevents new scale formation but over time it helps break down existing scale, protecting the water heater, pipes, shower heads, and appliances.

The ClearWave is maintenance-free, environmentally friendly, and uses less water than traditional water softeners. The ClearWave works on all types of pipes including copper, PVC, galvanized, and stainless steel.

    How the ClearWave® Works
The ClearWave Water Conditioner generates a series of electro-magnetic waves that affect hard water crystals (calcium and magnesium) in water so that they are unable to stick to anything. These enhanced microscopic particles then contact existing scale and cause it to loosen, break down, and flow easily with the water.

    Applications Include:
    • Ice Makers
    • Dishwashers
    • Washing Machines
    • Boilers
    • Humidifiers
    • Swimming Pools
    • Water Heaters

If iron is present in your water supply, use an iron filter prior to the ClearWave.

Installation of the Clearwave is simple. Mount to the main incoming water pipe to the home with pipe clips, wrap the antenna leads around pipe and then plug into a 110V power supply. One unit handles incoming supply pipes up to 1" in diameter. For pipes 1 1/4 inches to 1 1/2 inches use two units in series. Works with all types of pipe including: copper, pvc, galvanized, and stainless steel.

This products works great! Review by Latoya
    This products works great!

Before using the Clearwave there was a lot of scale build up in my home. The installation was very easy, and I installed the product myself. After the installation I noticed that the toilet bowls are no longer staining, faucets are not dripping, and all my glass dishes did not have any film after using the dishwasher. I am very pleased and impressed with this product.

    Great For Combatting Hard Water

I took a chance with this unit since not all reviews were stellar. What I found out is Clear Wave works great and is easy to install.

Miami, nothing after 6 months Review by BBaz
    Miami, nothing after 6 months

While it may work in other areas, if you live in Miami-Dade the water supply here is not susceptible to this treatment. It's a waste of electricity. Shame, because I chose a lot of chrome and it really would make it much easier to live with if the water didn't instantly leave spots upon drying.

Doesn't Work At All Review by dkumpula
    Doesn't Work At All

I installed this according to the instructions and when I saw the blinky lights come on, I started to think this was not going to work. According to the instructions, "no new stains or crust should form". To test this claim, I cleaned all of the surfaces that accumulate calcium deposits such as toilets, showers, sinks and faucets with a product called BioClean (which does work really well). I then watched over the next six months to see if there was any build-up. There was. In fact, the build-up occurred at the same rate as before Clearwave was installed. There was no other evidence that I saw that this device did anything at all.

Not worth it Review by LJ
    Not worth it

Bought it, installed according to instructions. After a month of hard water stains growing, put water softener back on line and cleaned stains. Not a solution for me.

    Useless Review by Graham

I really wanted this to work, but it has been over two months since I installed it and I can honestly say there is absolutely no difference in our water. The only change has been the increase in the electric bill. I use a distiller and there is no difference in the calcium deposits that form since installing the Clearwave. Shower heads still get clogged and there is no difference in soap lather. In short, none of the claimed benefits are true. In my previous home I installed a water softener and the results were immediate and very obvious. I guess I was deluding myself to think a couple of wires wrapped around a pipe would really work.

Manufacturer Note: Please note: The ClearWave is NOT a water softener and doesn’t not REMOVE calcium or magnesium from the water.

Hard water still there... Review by AJP
    Hard water still there...

I bought this at least a year ago and was hoping for a quick and easy fix. I don't think this thing does anything at all. It sounds good, but I still have the green buildup on sinks and toilets, so appears to not really work at all

    Im a believer!

The Clearwave is awesome! It didn't take long to notice the soap lathering better in the shower. There is a huge improvement in my dishes. It is amazing and so simple and NO maintenance. Clearwave is worth every penny! Oh and the plumber was here to do an installation and couldn't believe how clear the pipes looked. I highly recommend this product!

    Works Review by Phil

I like the fact that it doesn't use salt. The effect seem to be working and I'll upgrade this review in time Right now I am enjoying two things, the fact that it doesn't use any chemicals and it is keeping the sinks cleaner.
