  • What's Included
  • If you want to use a modulator to view surveillance footage on a specific UHF or CATV channel from any television in your home, you'll need access to one or more empty channels. If you can't find an empty channel, you can block CATV channels 70-74 and off-air UHF TV channels 19-23, thus allowing modulators to insert a channel without interference. With this notch filter in place, you can create two modulated channels (71 & 73) on CATV and two channels (20 & 22) on UHF.

    How it Works
Once installed on the incoming coax line, this device filters out channels to make room for modulated channels. In addition, the notch filter blocks the modulated signals from being broadcast back into the coax. Notch filters are also available that block CATV channels 64-70 and UHF 14-19 for 3 modulated channels and CATV channels 75-80 and UHF channels 24-29 for 2 modulated channels.

In addition to blocking channels 70-74 as you would expect, it also screws up 68, 69, 75, and 76. We wasted money by buying this.

This works as advertised - bit bigger than you may expect, but it fits in behind the coax quickpanel

works great if for 'raw' no box applications on the cable run with direct hookups to a TV. Blocks the range as expected. you may be surprised tho at what channels you lose if you have a cable box hooked up elsewhere on your system as cable box channel 251 example only may reside in the blocked bandwidth on the wire 70-74and be lost too. Trial required to know for sure. Do not expect to be able to view a modulated signal via your cable box.

Pretty much blocks channel 75 also which makes it not watchable. Does the job.
