Weekly and/or manual programs may also be stored into the timer. The large display clearly denotes all information by means of easy to understand symbols and numbers. Functions with operating pressure as low as 1.45psi up to 174psi. Operates on one 9-volt battery (sold separately).

All plastic, cheap, poor fitting connections. Review by Scott
All plastic, cheap, poor fitting connections.

It was a pain to get installed, as all the fittings on the dual ports did not fit right. After some "rigging" I finally got them to where if you didn't touch the unit, it wouldn't leak. The main connection fit fine, but 5 months later I was overseas and the wife found the backyard to be a huge pool of water. The main connection had warped and stretched and it doesn't seat right anymore. I called up the company, wow, you'd have thought I was a bum off the street begging the company for money with the way they treated me, and they sent a new plastic connection, which will do the same thing I'm sure. They also stated that if the temperature at any time dips below 35 degrees, the unit will crack. So basically, if you live in a warm area that now and then at night drops near that, it will crack, so you better dismantle the unit for even temporary temperature drops at night. This unit will be going into the garbage soon. It is also very much a pain to set up and operate if you don't use it every day, it's not simple. Other units I bought from home depot have been working for about 2 years now with no issues, I just needed a two way distribution valve and two timers... Maybe $20 more overall, but this unit has caused too many heartaches. SMART HOME, if you are listening, you need to drop this product!

The user instructions are not completely accurate (the manual mode does NOT allow you to change the time that the water is turned on, and it is set at 5 minutes, not 15 as the instructions show, and the instructions to delete a program are incorrect), and it takes a while to get used to using it (the instructions could be written better and easier to understand). I find it to be a little expensive for what it offers. But, it seems to be working ok for now.

Works as advertised, the zones come on sequentially, but that is good, keeps the water pressure up. It is plastic, so time will tell if it can handle the weight of the hoses hanging from it?

I am ordering my second Claber Duplo timer. The first one has worked flawlessly for two hot summers. It operates two zones of micro sprinklers and misters, one at 35 psi and one at 50 psi. I am expanding to two more zones from another faucet. I tried using the cheaper Orbit dual timer, but the solenoid for one outlet kept sticking. I returned it and I'm buying the more reliable Claber. It's worth the extra cost. Programming is pretty straight forward once you stop trying to read the instructions and just do it. During the winter months, I remove the batteries and store it indoors. I just wish it came in a landscape friendly color instead of orange. How do you hide a big orange box hanging from you faucets?

Got two of these that have been in use for a few weeks now. They appear to be very solidly built and I love the fact that the pipes don't rattle the house (or our teeth) when the valves open and close like any other timers I've seen.

Also, I had seen comments that they're difficult to program, but I didn't have any problem and found it to be fairly intuitive.

My only quibble is that there is no easy way to suspend operation of the unit for some indeterminate length of time (especially if you just want to suspend one of the two programs), short of shutting of its water supply. The two programs are pretty intimately linked, so bear that in mind and plan accordingly. If you just need to set and forget, it's probably not much of an issue.

All and all, though, it's a well thought out unit.

The programming is a bit vague, but once you get it figured out you'll find it works great. I've had the single channel version of this product for several years and it's worked perfectly. The programming on the single channel model is simpler to understand and helped a lot in understanding the dual channel version. You'll find that a single 9 volt battery will lat a whole year, but do be sure to change it annually as it will fail reliably in 13 months.

I have been looking for a good Water Timer after spending alot of money & time on cheaply made products that don't even last through the summer months. This product is excellent! Made sturdy and fairly easy to operate. No leaks and does the job well. Purchased these items through Smarthome Store and very satisfied with their service.
