    Far-field voice recognition

Tucked under the light ring is an array of seven microphones that use beam-forming technology and enhanced noise cancellation. With a more powerful processor, the all-new Echo Dot has improved wake-word performance to hear you ask a question from any direction—even in noisy environments or while playing music.

When you want to use Echo Dot, simply say the wake word, “Alexa,” and Dot lights up and streams audio to the cloud, where the Alexa Voice Service is leveraged to recognize and respond to your request instantly. Learn more about voice recognition on Echo Dot.

    Always Getting smarter

Alexa - the brain behind Echo Dot - is built in the cloud, so it is always getting smarter. The more you use Dot, the more it adapts to your speech patterns, vocabulary, and personal preferences. And because Echo Dot is always connected, updates are delivered automatically.

    Great little gadget

If you want a bunch of coverage all over your home, buy a bunch of these. It gives your house a nice stereo sound since you have sound coming from everywhere, and you can talk with Alexa everywhere. Nice for the price - if you can sign up for email with Smarthome, you'll get 20% off making it an even better deal! With Alexa updating daily, it's the best investment you can make to start your smarthome on its way.

    Great Product Review by Chris
    Great Product

So far I am impressed, it just works and voice recognition is great. Only hard part is joining up other services sometimes as it is not always clear how to do this, easy enough after some googling.

Better support for outside the US and UK would be nice.

    Highly recommended.
