  • The Sunforce Products 11260 2500W Pure Sine Wave Inverter converts energy from the sun to produce power which is as clean as household electricity that is with very low harmonic distortion, no static or humming noise. It provides 2500W of household power anywhere and converts DC power stored in 12V batteries to AC power. Delivers 2500 watts continuous power and 5000 watts peak power. Ideal for computers, laptops, inkjet laser printers, faxes, HDTVs and electronic game systems. Its portable advantage allows you to use it as a convenient power supply for when you travel.

    What is an inverter?
    An inverter changes the DC power created stored in the battery into AC power, like the power used in your home. The inverter draws its power from a 12Volt (preferably deep cycle) battery or a bank of batteries. The battery will have to be recharged as its charge is used. Sunforce solar panels can be used to recharge your battery.

    What is the difference between a Pure Sine Wave Inverter and a Modified Sine Wave Inverter?
    A Pure Sine Wave Inverter most closely matches regular AC power that comes from your electric company. This clean power has very low harmonic distortion which allows for a clearer picture on your screen and less static or noise. Motors run faster, more quietly and produce less heat. The power wave when viewed through an oscilloscope is a smooth sine wave. A Modified Sine Wave Inverter's voltage fluctuates and may cause difficulties running sensitive electronic equipment. The power wave is not exactly the same as electricity from the power grid. It has a wave form that appears as a choppy squared-off wave when viewed through an oscilloscope.

    How do I use the inverter?
    The inverter is attached to one or several batteries, this is your power source. Devices you want to run are plugged into the outlets on the front of the inverter. An extension cord may be used for devices located far from the inverter. Turn on the inverter and then turn on the device.

    To recharge the battery connect a solar panel and charge controller to the battery for no fuss charging whenever the sun is shining.
