  • What's Included
  • Open or close any swinging door automatically with the press of a remote button. The Swing Door Opener w/Electric Strike turns any inward or outward swinging, left or right hand door into an automated door, and it even comes with an electric strike for security or privacy. It has 3 operation modes and in the event of a power failure the door will still be able to operate manually.

A variety of modes are available for operation. In Open/Close Mode, two remote buttons will open the door, and the other two will close it. If you have two doors set up, you can use the same remote to control both. In Toggle Mode, you'll enjoy one-button operation. By activating the remote, the door will either open or close, depending on its current position. When Timer Mode is selected, you'll activate the remote to open the door, and the door will close automatically after it has been opened for a specific period of time. You may change the timer setting from 10 seconds up to 50 seconds, in 10-second intervals. You can even install a Keypad Transmitter to open the door using a pass code instead of the handheld remote. A handheld keychain remote is also available to control the Swing Door Opener.

During power failure, the door can still be opened or closed manually. An obstacle detection feature is built-in to this automatic door opener, so that when an obstacle is detected in the path of an opening or closing door, the door opener will stop to avoid serious injury. As an added security feature, the closing speed decreases as the door reaches its fully closed position.

Manual opening and closing is possible with this automatic door system installed. For added security install the Swing Door Opener w/Magnetic Lock, which comes with an electromagnetic lock that will prevent the door from opening without the remote.

It is strongly recommended that the DM-150 be install by a professional locksmith or experienced installer.

**Works well as a full-time automatic door, but disappointed with manual operation.**
I just had this opener installed and it was chosen specifically because the manufacturer description says the door can still be operated manually. It should say it can be operated manually IN AN EMERGENCY.
When opened manually the opener makes a pronounced and unsettling clicking noise. The instruction manual says this is normal. The clicking occurs as the clutch disengages and engages. But it sounds awful, as if gears are being stripped or something. Also, when trying to close the door manually, it won't close completely. The opener must be cycled open and closed in order to fully close the door again. This is disappointing given that it's installed on a high traffic door and I’m the only wheelchair user. My intention was for most people to use the door manually while I used the opener. But for the reasons described above, it’s just not going to be practical as a manually opened door. I also suspect that prolonged manual use will cause damage to the opener clutch. So, my plan will be to mount buttons inside and out, and everyone will need to use the opener.
The opener does function well though. It's installed on my hallway door going into the garage. It’s a narrow space and difficult to open the door from a wheelchair. The installation was pretty straightforward and the remote has plenty of range, though the remote buttons are difficult to press with disabled hands. Even without the electric strike or the electromagnetic lock installed, the door closes tightly and stays shut. However, the door isn’t secure this way. If installing on an exterior entry door, the electric strike would be necessary to securely lock the door.

I have recieved your door opener and it looked perfect until I tried to install it.
I was instructed to connect the unit to power before installation and test the mechanism but it does not work. I would like someone to help me solve this problem.

    Do not buy!
I bought and installed in my house and it did not have the power to open/close past its own latch even with recommended booster jumper installed. 60% of the time door would fail to close and %100 fail to open. Multiple emails to manufacture for support in case of bad unit went unanswered, need I say more.

Its OK, but it's slow to open the door. It also has trouble with the weight of the door against the electric strike. It does an awful lot of grinding.

Besides that, it generally gets the job done well enough. It's very quiet.

installation even by a pro takes longer than stated. requires some very fine tuning for the strike plate to work properly. however, once all is done works great.
