We Stand Behind Every Product We Sell
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return it within 30 days, and we'll replace it. Defective items returned within 30 days will be replaced at no cost to you - we pay for shipping expenses on defective item returns in the case of replacing a defective item. Contact the manufacturer for defective products outside of the 30 day period.

Please note:
1. Items returned within 30 days for refund will be charged a 15% re-stock fee. Items returned for store credit within 30 days will not be charged a re-stocking fee.
2. Clearance & Special Order items are not eligible for return unless defective and must be returned within 30 days to receive merchandise credit towards a future purchase.
3. All books are final sales, no returns.
4. Direct Ship items are not eligible for return unless defective and must be returned within 30 days in exchange for a replacement item.
5. Open Box items, Books & Software are not eligible for return. All Open Box, Books & Software sales are final.
6. Credit card purchases will be refunded to the original purchaser's card. Purchases made with checks, cash, or money orders will be refunded by check. Please allow two weeks for processing. Smarthome is not responsible for returns lost or damaged in shipment.

To Return An Item, Please Follow These Steps
1. Customer Solution Center at 800-762-7846, Mon-Fri 8:00am-9:00pm and Sat 10:00am-4:00pm (ET) or email us at [email protected] to receive an RMA Number (Return Authorization Number). For INSTEON product returns or exchanges, contact our INSTEON Gold Line at 800-762-7845, Mon-Fri 9:00am-6:00pm (ET). Note: All returns must have an RMA. Items returned without an RMA number may be refused and returned to the sender.
2. Write the RMA on the outside of the package & include a copy of your invoice.
3. Ship returns with a tracking number (recommended for your protection).

International Returns
Although Smarthome fully supports manufacturers' warranties, our return guarantee does not include freight charges for international returns. If for any reason you choose to return a product from outside the United States, international shipping charges must be pre-paid.

Extended Warranties
Protect your investment by adding an extended warranty. Extended warranties of up to 7 years are available for certain Smarthome and third-party products. To purchase an extended warranty, simply add the warranty to your shopping basket from the product page.

Why Purchase an Extended Warranty? The cost of an extended warranty is only a fraction of the actual product cost, and extending the warranty length will help you to rest easier, knowing that components and accessories won't need to be replaced every year.

What's Covered by the Extended Warranty? Please see the original manufacturer's warranty (available on most product pages) for specific details on covered material and workmanship defects as well as limitations on warranties. Certain products will need to be returned directly to the manufacturer rather than to Smarthome; the original warranty will instruct how and where to return the product for repair or replacement.
