SmartLabs® Announces New INSTEON® Ceiling Fan Speed and Light Controller FanLinc™ Integrates Ceiling Fan Control into Home Automation System

IRVINE, Calif., January 12, 2012 - SmartLabs announces FanLinc, the newest member of its INSTEON line of wireless home control products. FanLinc allows existing ceiling fans to be remotely activated from a wide variety of INSTEON controllers, such as a handheld remote, wall keypad or smart phone.

The product installs inside the fan cowling and provides control of up to four fan speeds: high, medium, low and off. FanLinc also includes a 300 Watt dimmer to control ceiling fan light kits.

"Many ceiling fans are retrofits, leaving the homeowner with limited control," comments Mike Scharnagl, Director of Marketing at SmartLabs. "FanLinc provides the homeowner with many different ways to control and automate their fans. For example, when combined with an INSTEON thermostat, ceiling fans throughout the home could automatically begin spinning when the furnace turns on, thus helping circulate hot air and reducing furnace run time."

FanLinc is expected to be available in February and will retail for $79.99. FanLinc is another great addition to the ever expanding family of INSTEON products that control lighting, appliances, HVAC and security devices in the home or business.
