Home Automation Leader to Preview Software that AllowsLive Viewing and Control of Home Devices Via the Internet

         ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 27, 2003 - Smarthome, Inc., the world's leading provider of home automation products and personal gadgets, will showcase its latest products at Electronic House Expo, Feb. 27- Mar. 1, 2003, including SmarthomeLive?, a full-featured home automation application allowing users to view and control electronic devices in real-time over the Internet.

          A demonstration of SmarthomeLive will be available at Smarthome's booth throughout the show. SmarthomeLive can be programmed to send an e-mail, page or text message when motion is detected in selected areas, including the front door and poolside, allowing users to immediately view the cause of the disturbance and react appropriately. Additional applications include confirming the house lights are turned off after leaving the home, turning on the thermostat, and setting TiVo? to record a TV program with any Internet-connected computer.

KeypadLinc eliminates the need to constantly re-adjust lighting levels by supporting preset dim levels, which to enables lights to turn on at a preferred dim level each time.          SwitchLincRX - This device is ideal for consumers desiring simple dimming and control of lighting fixtures, but reside in older homes outfitted with electrical outlets lacking a neutral wire. Pricing starts at: $39.99

         ApplianceLinc - Consumers can automate and remotely control electronics, such as a table fountain or nightlight, with this device. ApplianceLinc is designed for devices that do not require dimming functionality. Pricing starts at: $17.99

         SignaLinc - For consumers utilizing several X10 devices in the home, Smarthome offers a device that plugs directly into the 220V outlet allowing X10 signals to pass to the appropriate X10 module with greater efficiency. (X10 technology allows users to control devices in the home through existing electrical wiring.) Pricing starts at: $39.99
