- What's Included
Audio professionals know how important proper connections can be when distributing audio through microphones, mixing boards, public address systems, and the like. But sending high-end cable over long distances can become extremely costly. The MonoPro™ XLR allows a standard AES analog or digital audio channel to be connected via inexpensive cat. 5 unshielded twisted pair cable (UTP) in the professional audio environment with no loss of quality. This balun features heavy-duty cable strain relief for rugged environments such as rental and staging. Baluns are used in pairs but sold separately.
The MonoPro XLR can transmit line analog audio up to 5,000 feet (1.5km) via cat. 5 wire and digital audio up to 1,400 feet. The wires terminate inside the balun for added protection. Additional features include a locking XLR3 connector.
The MonoPro XLR is also available with a male connector.
