  • The Radio Powr Savr vacancy sensors are used to wirelessly control your lighting by automatically switching a load on when someone enters the room and off when someone leaves the room. Battery-powered Passive Infrared Sensors (PIR's) automatically control lights via radio frequency (RF) communication with dimming or switching devices. Lutron's 90-degree sensors detect minor motion in an area of 1,225 sq feet and major motion in an area of 2,500 sq ft. PIR's work by detecting the heat released from people within a given area in order to determine when that space is occupied or vacant.

    This occupancy/vacancy sensor will appropriately transmit RF commands to the associated dimming or switching controls to automatically turn lights On /Off, providing convenience and incredible energy savings. The dependable XCT technology used for motion detection avoids false trips and is one of the most reliable forms of detection available. Photo cells on this device detect natural, ambient light lowering or turning off electric lights when a sufficient amount ambient light is available. A total of 10 lighting controls can be programmed to respond to each occupancy/vacancy sensor, and a total of 3 sensors can control the same lighting controller. This sensor is especially useful in areas with high ceilings or ceiling obstructions. The LRF2-VWLB-P-WH requires one CR 123 3-volt lithium battery (sold separately).
