  • Lead development of specifications.
  • Lead design of software.
  • Lead implementation of software designs.
  • Analyze test plans and test results.
  • Lead the development of designs and test documentation.
  • Review data sheets and instruction manuals.
  • Serve as project manager and/or project technical contact.
  • Participate in industry technical meetings and conferences as needed to meet operational and strategic plans.
  • Lead development and improvement of R&D processes.Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Software design of large systems
  • Communication protocols and drivers
  • C#,.NET development
  • Graphical User Interface applications in Windows environments including object oriented design and/or object oriented languages (C , Delphi, Visual Basic, JAVA)
  • Strong and proven user interface design and development skills.
  • Strong writing, documentation and speaking skills
  • Must have shipped a successful commercial software product
  • Must have some home automation experience
  • Good algorithm, data structure and design pattern knowledge
  • Good web development skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment as well as independently with little oversight required
  • Background check results satisfactory to SmartLabs, Inc.
