  • The La Crosse Technology(r) WS-9004U-IT-CBP wireless rain gauge utilizes a self-emptying rain bucket that empties via internal tilting cups. The gauge displays the total rain recorded and has indicators for light and heavy rain.

You'll always know how much rain has fallen and you won't have to go out in a downpour to keep track. Instant Transmission is the latest wireless transmitting technology exclusively developed and designed by La Crosse Technology. It completely updates and transmits outdoor weather readings every six seconds so that you can monitor meteorological changes as they happen. The self-emptying rain collector can be mounted up to 330 ft. away from the receiver in your home. You can set an alarm to inform you when a certain amount has fallen between 0" and 4" in a 24-hour period. A rainfall indicator lets you know how fast it's coming down from a light shower to a major rain event with display icons. Receiver uses two AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Remote rain sensor uses two AAA alkaline batteries (not included).

La Crosse Technology introduced radio-controlled clocks to the US market in 1991 and continues to be on the cutting edge of this technology across America. All of their weather instruments, clocks and watches are calibrated daily to the atomic time standard of the National Institute of Standards and Technology. All instruments default to fahrenheit, inches, mph and all atomic time pieces are tuned to a 60 kHz, WWVB radio signal in Fort Collins Colorado.

Maintenance nightmare because of battery contact problems, battery sequence, reset accumulator process RF-signal loss, mechanical fulcrum and dirt

Excellent product. What's really exciting since installing we have had some rain to measure.
While the product is great I don't think we can attribute that to it.
