Automating your Pool Controls with Insteon
Have you ever wanted to control your pool's pump, lighting, heater or cleaner from within the comfort of your home? Going outside to turn on the pool pump/heater/cleaner
gets tiring after awhile, especially in the heat, wouldn't it be easier to just touch a button or control it from a smartphone or a tablet?
The following soluions will provide you with a simple way to achieve this goal.
With building on the Simple Solution, add an Insteon Hub to control the pool lights and then pool pump or pool heater from your smartphone or tablet. Add a scene to control all your pool lights with a single click of a button, and then you can create a schedule to turn your pool equipment on and off at various times during the day, or during the week.
Replace your current switch that controls your pool lights/heater/pump with an Insteon 6-Button On/Off Keypad, and then repalce your pool pump and pool heater controls with an Insteon 240 V Load controller.
Step 1 - Replace Switch
Replace your current switch that controls your pool pump, pool heater, and pool lights with the Insteon 6-Button On/Off Keypad.
Step 2 - Choose the button that you want to control the scene
Press and release the scene button that you want to use to control the desired lights.
Step 3 - Set the Load
Press the Set button on the load controller to set the state you wish to activate (on or off).
Step 4 - Linking
Press and hold the Set button on the 6-Button On/Off Keypad until the green light starts blinking, this should be around 3 seconds.
