Now your cat isn't the only one who can see in the dark. Insteon WiFi Cameras feature a ring of darkness-illuminating infrared LEDs.
Whatever your home or business surveillance need, there's an Insteon WiFi camera to fit the bill, indoors or out.
The 614,400 pixel difference that you can see.
Life is in the details; so why then use a camera that can't see them? With Insteon HD WiFi Cameras, your home comes alive with detail. Colors are vibrant. Textures are rich. Capturing video at a brilliant 1280 x 720, the HD video sensor in our HD Cameras sees 3x as many pixels as standard definition Cameras. Fancy specs are one thing. In this case, a picture really is worth 1000 words.
Pan & Tilt
Left, Left, Right, Right, Up, Down, Up, Down.
It's impossible to keep an eye on your entire home if your camera is fixed looking at just one spot. Insteon HD Cameras can pan and tilt a full 300° and 120°, respectively, meaning that you'll be able to handle surveillance of large rooms with ease. And with pan and tilt support from your mobile device, you don't even need to be in the same country to perform you nightly security sweep.
Experience the power of infrared.
The Insteon HD Camera capture beautiful images during the day. But come nightfall, it's your camera's IR LEDs that really get to shine. In pitch black, you will be able to see up to 26ft indoors and up to 66ft outdoors, so you won't have to leave a light on just to keep an eye on the house.
HD Speed Test
With high-definition video that is 3x sharper than standard-definition, you should take a moment to ensure that your internet connection is fast enough to handle the increased video size. We recommend 0.5Mbps upload for each camera you wish to view from outside your home. We also recommend you run the test from your mobile device on your cell network and any WiFi networks that you plan to use to view your HD camera. Those networks should provide at least 0.5Mbps download speed.

- Needs Hub Review by Carlo
I've bought the HD Wifi Camera 2864-222 knowingly that it is a Plug and Play as it stated on the box. Excited, I played the instructional setup video on Insteon website but was disapponted because it requires an Insteon Hub to make the camera work. My camera is now laying on the floor coz I haven't gone back to the store to buy the hub. Manufacturer of this product should label their box to purchase the hub also with the camera....

- Doesn't work with Windows 10 Review by Poppa Dukes
Doesn't work with Windows 10
I had these cameras working well until Windows 10. It appears both Microsoft and Symantec don't approve of the software. It also doesn't recognize the expired certificate. Looks Like I have to choose a different vendor for my cameras.

Camera has some problems
But who would supply a camera that mounts on the wall with a power supply that only has a 2' power cord. How can I mount it with such a short cord?
Also a real pain to set up. I had to reset the camera at least 20 times before it would recognize the name and password. And the manual says that if you reset, all goes back to factory defaults. Please have whoever wrote that try to leave the password space empty. YOU CANT

- Advertsing is misleading Review by Earl
Advertsing is misleading
The camera basically works, but the adverstising is misleading. It says it is compatible with the INSTEON hub and app, AND it clearly says the camera has a micropohone and speaker. The problem is... The speaker doesn't work with the app, so it is useless in the environmenbt it is sold for. And they don't tell you that anywhere.
As anyone knows that has dealt with these cameras, they come from China under many brands, and Smarthome just puts their firmware in them and integrates to them. In "theory" you can get some other app, such as Foscam to make the speaker work, but that defeats the "all in one app" that the Smarthome promotes with the INSTEON hub.
I realkize that some don't use the speaker, but I do, and not having it in the app (as it eludes to) is a giant pain.

- MIght be good if it worked with a Mac Review by John
MIght be good if it worked with a Mac
I bought this in part because it was advertised to work with a Mac. I downloaded the Mac version of the camera tool and installed it successfully, but the tool prompted me to download (via a provided link) a plug-in before it wold function. I downloaded the plug-in, but it was for a Windows computer, and of course would not work on the Mac. I contacted Smarthome tech assistance, but they were unable to find out how to get a plug-in for a Mac. Hence, I could not use the cameras on a Mac and returned them to Smarthome. I wish they would verify that the cameras they sell work as advertised before they advertise them!

Great HD Camera
I bought 2 of these and they worked great? Bought another 2 and am now looking at an outdoor camera. It works well with the smart phone "Foscam" application.

features that do not work
Like the camera but, in my Mac environment I do not get sound, can not expand to full screen and can not view multiple cameras on a single screen.

- Great HD web camera! Review by Jeremy
Great HD web camera!
I picked up one of these during the 20% off sale and am so glad I did! I'm an IT professional so setting this up to work via apps and remote viewing weren't difficult for me. I have a Synology NAS which has a built in surveillance app that recognized this camera once I had completed its setup. I installed this camera into a ceiling corner in my garage where I now get emailed snapshots of motion as well as have recordings stored on my NAS and on board SD card (not included). The picture quality is fantastic (wish I could attach a photo here), and I would really like another one of these as well as try the outdoor version. My only complaint is the two way audio and that I haven't found a way that you can actually talk to an app and the audio come out speakers attached to the camera.
