Very simple installation to be able to control both the light and a ceiling fan with the same switch independently with a single circuit and switch.

Great product for when your ceiling light wiring is not in conduit and you need another circuit to control your newly installed ceiling fan. No additional wiring needed, just install in the fan canopy and control the fan and light from the same old wall switch. Will toggle from light to fan and light to fan only. Very easy install.

Have 4 older 52 ceiling fans installed in my older home with lights mounted below that were controlled with a wall switch and 2 pull chain switches under the fan. One for the lights and one for the fan. Leaving home during day light hours resulted in the fan being on but the light pull chain being off. Yes I know I was supposed to turn the light pull chain on so that when I came home the wall switch would turn on the light but I always came home to a dark room but the fan would come on. This switch eliminated the use of the pull switches and the light always comes on first with the wall switch. Very simple to install and a great product.
