Sometime back I successfully created a room and multiple scenes. Today I tried to add a new room. I renamed an used room in the list and checked the show room box and save/return. But the room never shows up. The original room shows up but not the new room.
This seems like a pretty simple process when I refer to the help file. Is there something I'm missing?
I click I'm at home I click the IP address The previously created room is displayed and the previously created scene has been working I can type in a new room name and click "show room" + save/exit but the new room is not displayed.
It sure seems like this should be quite straightforward. Whatever I'm missing must be pretty basic.
It sounds like your browser is trying to speed up its display by showing cached data instead of what the SmartLinc is transmitting. Do you have some kind of browser toolbar or plugin advertising faster page loads as a feature?
no fancy browser accelerators. I'm able to add as many new scenes as I want to the existing room and all the scenes seem function OK. But just can't add new rooms. But I have been using a Mac book osx 10.6.8. No problems other than one just described. I just tried accessing smartlinc with a PC running windows XP pro ver 2002 sp 3 (old) and lo and behold...problem is gone. I can create new rooms and they are visible to the mac. This may be the only time I've ever found an application I didn't prefer accessing via a Mac. I wonder what the problem was.
