I am an Architect and will be demolishing my home and will re-build it new. As such, I wish to fully integrate "home automation". Is there a web site or book or somewhere where one can learn more about what wiring I should provide or include for a Home Automation?

Insteon technology uses conventional high voltage wiring, just be sure to run neutral through the wall boxes.
