The picture is a graphic of phone wiring through an rj31 and dsl filter. A rotary phone will no longer work on many phone company switches, is that what you are wondering?

Oh, I was just wondering if this setup would work. I put the picture of a rotary phone just as a generic pic. They will not be using rotary phones.

I also want to know if it will work. I'm wondering have you already tried this set-up?

Yep, just got back form trying it. Works perfectly. Note though, that the filter connected to the alarm, is a ALARM FILTER, specially made for alarms.
