My HouseLinc and SmartLinc mysteriously could not connect to my MorningLinc ("Device not responding"). I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in after waiting 10 seconds; the status LED doesn't flash or light in any way. I attempted a factory restore following the instructions in the manual, but the LED remains out.

Is the unit dead, or are there other options I can try?

Thanks

Try another outlet to rule out a bad outlet or tripped breaker.

I did, and verified the outlet was active with a light.

I don't think there's an option to disable the status LED on the MorningLinc the way there is with an ApplianceLinc or LampLinc or SwitchLinc. If you have confirmed power and still don't have a status light, I'd contact the Insteon Gold support line.

Try taping the Set button (not holding it) on the MorningLinc. As I cycle the lockset with the MorningLinc Set button the status LED turns On (Locked) and Off (Unlocked). Having the status LED off is normal for my MorningLinc.

If the factory reset was successful it will not be possible to control the MorningLinc from HouseLinc or SmartLinc. The factory reset erased the authorization link records for both devices so it will be necessary to link the MorningLinc back to both HL and SmartLinc before control is restored.

Of course if the MorningLinc Set button will not control the lockset than there are other issues. Does the lockset respond to the key fob.
