I have had an IRLinc controlling two LampLincs for 3 weeks, without a hitch until yesterday, when my system no longer responds rationally. Each LampLinc was set to it's own scene for controlling on/off, very simple setup.
Now, the scene buttons do not do anything. The all-on and all-off buttons only control one of the LampLincs. I am unable to get the remove-from-scene procedure to do anything. When I try to add the LampLincs to a scene (one of the unused ones), both the IRLinc and the LampLinc's leds will continually flash simultaneously with no end in sight, and will not add to scene. This happens with both of the LampLincs. Keep in mind I am following the procedure from the IRLinc's guide, which is the same procedure I used three weeks ago (and worked just fine back then).
Suggestions on anything I can try? If not, does it sound like a broken IRLinc?
Any help is appreciated. I'm always willing to learn, and will try out any procedure you throw my way :) |

| Are you using HouseLinc or something else to manage the scenes? Do you have at least two correctly located dual-band devices? If so, what is the result of the 4-tap test? |

No, I don't use anything to "manage" scenes, these were literally 1-device scenes that I simply used the remote to configure. I can't imagine my setup would need software management.
If you could point me in the direction of determining correct location of devices, and what a 4-tap test is, I'd be happy to read up on such troubleshooting measures |

Are the LampLincs dual-band? If so, the on-line Owner's Manual describes the 4-tap test. If not, you may need at least two dual-band devices.
Are you using the included remote to control the IRLinc or a different remote controller? If a different remote, which one?
Have you recently added (or removed) any electronic powerline devices such as a UPS, computer, cell phone power supply, TV, etc.? |
