Morninglinc controller linked just fine to the deadbolt cycling (lock to unlock) when the set button was pressed.

Added Smartlinc.smarthome.com Version: iPhone 2.3 YF worked as well.

Pressing the (on) will only lock it, the (off) wouldn't do anything.

Using Mobilinc Pro I found using a (fast command) would unlock and lock just fine. I then went to the smartlinc module "Customize the Standard Controls" and changed the code 0261611361 to 0261611461 and the (off)will unlock the door.

Insteon software for the droid and Iphone will still not respond to (off) commands any clues?

This resolution may help, that is, linking On and Off separately instead of using custom commands.

BTW, some other Insteon responders can also respond differently whether On or Off command is sent.

Putting the Morininglinc in an unlocked state and linking to the smartlinc module did not help, adding a second Scene did not help still would only drive the lock in one direction either lock or unlock depending what position it was when linked with the smartlinc 2412 module.

If the morninglinc module responds to 0261611161(lock),0261611261(Fast lock), or 0261611461(Fast Unlock) but does not respond to 0261611361 I'm thinking my unit is defective?

That conforms to the suggestion, that is, a separate lock scene and unlock scene as opposed to custom commands for On and Off in the same scene.

It is not defective. The same Scene 61 (Group 61) is being used for Lock and Unlock. That does not work. It is correct for lighting devices but not the MorningLinc. If using Scenes two Scenes are required, one that was linked with it unlocked and a different Scene that was linked with it locked (as Stu indicated). Or use Direct commands 0262xxxxxx0F11FF for On and 0262xxxxxx0F1100 for Off (xxxxxx is MorningLinc Insteon address). Still need one link between the MorningLinc and the PLM for security reasons.

Thanks for the fast response that's just awesome.

I guess I'm a little confused with how the "on" "off" codes work within the smartlinc 2412 module, but it's working fine with the custom code 0261611461. I thought it was odd that 0261611361 was a preprogramed code and wouldn't work.

Still it all works nicely thanks for the pointers
