This seems like a very interesting product: [link removed by moderator]

you can open/close your door lock remotely. give one-time, temporary or permanent access to your door to anybody you want.

Great for airbnb.com rentals or for just being able to let your family and friends in without having to give them the key.

Did anybody see a product like this before? Will you guys use it once it available?

I wouldn't even dream of letting someone into my house without being present. There are fairly inexpensive digital locks which take care of lost keys and have programmable one-time access.

The linked site doesn't actually give any product information, it is just collecting info from people interested in the idea. Looks like a phishing attempt.

You can achieve this goal today using a SmartLinc, a MorningLinc and a Morning Industries remote control lock. To address Geo's concerns, you can also add an IP camera to ensure you are unlocking the door for the right person!

Tfitzpatri8 is right, of course. I just hate the idea of letting strangers in my house. But that's just me ;-)

You can always use it the opposite way, too--leave your door unlocked for convenience, then lock it when you see someone you don't like approaching.
