I had an electrician connect 2 2476S switchlincs for a 3-way light. I then linked those 2 switchlincs together. The problem is when I turn one off the LED on the other one goes all the way out like the power was turned off. One works just like it's supposed to but the other one will go off like the power went out only on that one switch.
Sounds like the electrician wired the SwitchLincs in a 3-way configuration. The SwitchLincs should be wired as individual devices supplied with unswitched 120v power all the time. Insteon devices are in a virtual 3-way configuration established by linking the switches together, not wiring them together.
Yes. Thats the beauty of Insteon. All you need is a neutral wire on all Insteon switches and you are able to make 2-Way, 3-Way or n-Way configurations virtually. If you don't have a neutral wire, the 2-Way cable may be recycled to be used as neutral.
