Hi guys. I know this should be simple but I'm having lots of trouble with this. I can locate my smartlinc on my home network via computer and the iPhone app. Im able to create scenes and rooms with no problem. When i swap from wifi to 3g on my phone It tells me it can't locate a smartlinc. I understand that there is some router or port forwarding problem or something I'm doing incorrectly. I was able to forward a port on my router to 198.162.2.101 which was a number i just made up because it was outside of the dhcp range on my router. When i type that ip into my browser Im able to access my smartlinc but when i set up the app i used the same ip and it will not locate the smartlinc when not connected to my wifi at home. Please help!!!!!!! Thanks in advance

I've been to that site numerous times. The in at home portion works fine. It's the I'm not at home that I can't get past. I have nO idea what username and password would go here. My question was more about how to access my scenes and rooms from my iPhone while away from home
Thanks for the clarification. But, did you set up an account? Or do you use another service, such as DynDNS?
You CANNOT use your LAN address (e.g. 192.168.x.yyy) or anyone and everyone with internet (WAN) access could

1. You need to find out your public ip address (assuming you have one!) 2. You need to forward port 80 on your router to your smartlinc's Local IP address 3. When accesing from 3G, you must use your public ip address (not the local)
** Some internet providers depending on where you live may not even give you a public IP address (my case), so you will be unable to access your lights remotely
