We purchased a house from an electrical engineer who has all sorts of DIY controls, including security systems with cameras that I have ye t to figure out. Question of the moment involves getting a timer o control a pool pump. I just figured out that the switch at the pool is an addressable x-10 protocol, and figured out how to now switch it on and off through the few x10 parts the previous owner left behind. I'd really love it on a timer, but looks like the x10 mini timers are no longer made. I don't want a huge system... Simple is better, as I'm a newbie. Can I do this with the insteOn timelrlinc? Other thoughts? Thanks.

Have you tried ebay for an x-10 timer? If interested, send me a pm. I may have a left over timer I can send you.

There are numerous X10 controls available from their manufacturers and on the eBay. If you want just a timer make sure it has a back-up battery. In the summertime when we have thunderstorms even a momentary power interruption will reset the timer. It can get very frustrating.
