That's a wiring mistake. In a normal multi-way installation, only one switch should have its red wire connected to other wires--that would be defined as the primary switch. Any other switches should have their red wires disconnect and capped off and should be connected to line and neutral only.
What wire bundles are present in the primary switch's box, and to what are they connected? How about the secondary switch box? |
