I'm interested in writing my own Android app that can communicate with a WiFi thermostat. I know there are several applications out there but I have a few ideas I want to experiment with as well as learn to create Android applications. What brand has the best[if any] API/SDK and allow for expansion (read in temperature/humidity sensors, control electric vents, etc)?
