I have a Rainbird wireless rain sensor that is currently hooked up to my Rainbird sprinkler controller. I am thinking of converting the controller over to the EZFlora to give me better control of my zones, however, would like to integrate the rain sensor.

From what I understand, rain sensors can be used with the EZFlora, but what is confusing to me, is how this is done. I see that you use the breakout board and a resistor and connect this to the "Accessory Connector" on the EZFlora. The only connector I have see on the EZFlora, is what appears to be under the sprinkler valve board that is coming out of the bottom.

So, from what I'm seeing, is it really true that you'd have to have TWO EZFlora's to control both the valves AND the rain sensor at the same time, or is there an accessory port besides the port where the valves are hooked up to? I am so confused.

You buy a breakout board and connect it using Ethernet patch cable. Rain sensor will connect to that board.

Exactly, but is there an RJ-45 connector on the EZFlora besides where the valves connect to? I have never seen a picture of this connector. So there is this "accessory connector" where you connect an ethernet cable to, then to the breakout board, then you connect the valves to the green board off the bottom of the EZFlora? Where is the RJ-45 port on the EZFlora?

In other words, I can connect 8 zones AND the rain sensor to just ONE EZFlora and breakout board?

RJ45 port is right near breakout connector. Yes, you only need one for zones and rain sensor.
