I have ben trying to get my MorningLinc to install. I did have it working earlier today after much trouble but then when tring to add to my ISY26 (not sure if it will work with this version) I did a factory reset on it and now it won't sync with the lockset. After I press the Set button on the lockset and the set button on the MorningLinc I now get three beeps instead of the two and I cannot control the lock with the set button.
He has already posted on the ISY forum. I suggested he post here as his problem is he cannot get the MorningLinc linked to the lockset. I should have warned him not to mention ISY in the post as the appearance of the word ISY means the question is not even going to be evaluated let alone provide any assistance.
What does the ISY have to do with linking the MorningLinc to the lockset? NOTHING!! Letís at least understand the problem before dumping the question.
The red flag for me was that it was working prior to ISY involvement. My primary concern here is that the ISY model mentioned won't support a brand new MorningLinc--the ISY model 26 has been discontinued for a while, was the firmware ever updated to support the checksums required to write to the link database in new Insteon hardware?
If the beeps are coming from the lock, the lock error codes are explained in the instruction sheet that came with that unit. The way I read it, three beeps means the door isn't aligned correctly and the deadbolt is jammed. Two beeps mean the programming was successful, and ten beeps mean the batteries are too low to move the bolt.
