Last year, I replaced Houselinc with ISY99. Fairly good transition, although issues with keypads and complex scenes....
Includes 3 Ventstar thermostats...

My goal has been to add Touchscreens in various locations around the house, for easier control. I have an Android tablet running conductor for testing.

I've seen several Z-wave devices that have gotten my attention. The Homeseer hardware controllers seem to have a neat custom designer for remote clients, including ipad and android. I don't see scene control as I know it, however, I'm assuming that programs will perform that functionality.

I haven't found much feedback on Homeseer, or how it compares to the other products like ISY.

HomeSeer and the ISY both have their own support forums, that's why you won't see a bunch of duplication here. ISY support is available at http://forum.universal-devices.com and HomeSeer support is at http://board.homeseer.com/

HomeSeer itself has an iPhone app you can use to control any of the gear enrolled with that program, it has a plugin to use it with your ISY, and MobiLinc also has a customizable iPhone app, so you have some options to choose from

I am also tone between both software. Homeseer seems to have a high learning curve and be much more expensive but much more capable. I have an embedded computer so it running 24/7 is not a bid deal. Homeseer does have the Homeseer troller for those that want to lower powerconsumption and fear running 24/7 systems.

Other than power consumption and the fact that you have to run the device 24/7, does anyone else have any input on which solution works best for an Insteon network? I am looking for a solution that can send and recieve TCP/UDP/HTTP events, and unfortunately it looks like ISY does not have that capability, but I am not entirely sure of Homeseer is the best fit. The Homeseer forum does not have a lot of posts in this regard.

Thanks in advance.
