Greetings All, I have the 75790 Smarthome IP camera set up in my house. I'm able to view the video feed via my networked PC. I can also log in to the camera via smartphone (Google Nexus 1) but I'm not able to see the video picture. I can control the camera, but the video screen is just black. The phone is logging on via the built in browser and is running Ice Cream Sandwich. Additionally, viewing with my iPad, I'm able to view the video and control it, but when I try to rotate the camera up/down or sideways, it doesn't respond. All that happens is a "Save Image or Copy" window pops up. The horizontal/vertical buttons work. Any suggestions? Are there any specific Smarthome apps for either Apple or Android? Many thanks for helping me to get my feet wet in IP cameras. |

| It sounds like your camera maybe requires that active X is supported in the viewing device. A lot of Smartphone browsers do not support active x and thus have issues. You might be able to find an add in that you can download for your smartphone that would add the active x support. I have an IPad and is does support active x. It is also common that a lot of the pad units have trouble with camera controls. My Ipad has issues with controlling my Foscams but I did find another app that I was able to download to give me control capability. |

chubbyhubby: The Smarthome IP camera does not require ActiveX
It can be viewed on an iPad, also, Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc. from any computer. I don't have any Android devices, but SmartLinc requires http://webaddress/snapshot.cgi. Camera control is missing, but not the image.
foxtail22: What browser are you using or what did you do to get ActiveX run on an iPad?
